New Blog

I thought it would be a good idea to separate our "school" blog from our family blog.

More than anything we desire our children to come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We know that their salvation will only be the result of God's gracious work in their hearts. We hope that we will be able to teach them by example the difference that the gospel makes in our own lives so that the gospel will be attractive to them. We hope that we will be able to teach them to love learning so that they will become lifetime learners of God's Word. Though those are the long terms desires we know that foundations for the enjoyment of learning must be laid early. During these early education years we hope only to convey to our children that learning is and can be fun.

I hope to use this blog to document our attempts to educate our children. Hopefully this blog will provide a source of accountability for me and of encouragement to others. We are just at the beginning of this adventure and have no idea what we are doing. I don't even pretend to know how to teach children, much less young children. I look forward to learning from those around me and sharing any ideas learned with others.
