Week 5 - Letter R

~Big E is 4 years old: Lil E is 27 months~

Though we only had 3 official days of school this week, we accomplished much.  We managed to complete all of the Sonlight Curriculum once again.  We even read ahead in some of the books!  I guess that means Big E is enjoying the material.

Lil E continued with her material as well, but we only completed 3 days of activities.  The last day she wasn't very interested in the activities, which is okay.

In our reading ahead, we read about bakers and then decided to bake our own bread together.  It was really fun to do something so hands on immediately after reading about the topic.

Lil E's highlights included:
* Rainforest vocab matching
* connecting/tracing practice
* shape identification; star, heart, moon
* playdough R shapes
* rainbow coloring

Can you see the Astronaut he drew in the right space shuttle?

"How to Buckle into a Car Seat"
   1.       Obey Momma and Daddy, and start buckling as soon as you get into the car.
   2.      Sit down in your car seat.
   3.        Find the center buckle between your legs, make sure you can reach it.
   4.      Put your arms into the straps like you are wearing a life jacket.
   5.      Place the metal buckle into the holes in the center buckle between your legs.  Push a little bit hard until you hear the click.
   6.      Find the black plastic buckles on the straps and connect them together.
   7.      Ask Momma or Daddy to pull the strap at the bottom of the car seat to tighten it.
   8.      Make sure the black plastic buckle is at your chest.
