Week 8 - Letter H

~Big E is 4 years old: Lil E is 28 months~

We had another good week this week.  Though we have our moments, I am still amazed at how smoothly things are going!

Lil E's highlights for the week:
* H Coloring Page
* tracing a connecting line
* H House craft
* Lauri shape sorter
* H playdough shapes
* Tool vocabulary
* H/h hunt (She found all the H's on her own!)
* House shape craft

Big E's highlights for the week:
* reading a few new words
* practice writing O, G, Q, G
* Wrote and Spell his name by himself
* Wrote a paragraph about a memory inspired by a photograph

Fall activities: We worked a little bit out of a fall workbook my mother made for the children.
* Read a poem and colored some leaves
* Collected and pressed leaves
* Did some leaf rubbings
* Sorted and counted leaves
* Blew leaves across the table
* Went apple picking
* Painting Pumpkins

Favorite Moments:
* One of the fun things about homeschooling is the flexibility we can put into our day.  Below is a picture representing that flexibility.  Lil E decided that Mr. Bear should join our classroom that day. (Mr. Bear also had a seat at the table when it was table time.)  You will also see Big E playing his bass while accompanying our music time for the day.  So much fun!

Big E's Writing Assignment:

"This picture was taken in the winter when we were shoveling snow.  We got snow as high as our house.  Shoveling the snow was hard.  In this picture I didn’t have a shovel, but sometimes I helped Daddy shovel.  In this picture I’m following Daddy in the snow.  I usually follow the path that Daddy makes because I can’t walk through the snow when it is deep.  In this picture Lil E is standing as well.  She liked the snow.  She couldn’t walk in the snow either."
