Teaching our children that learning can be fun with the hope that they will become lovers of God and lifetime learners of God's Word. Pursuing God's pleasure in all we do.

Last Day of School 2011-2012
Today was the last day of our "official" school year. It has been an interesting year, but I think both children have grown in both character and knowledge.
We had a mini-celebration with certificates and balloons and dinner at a pizza place.
Big E is now proudly referring to himself as a kindergartner and is wondering when we will start using and reading our new kindergarten books. Little E had no idea what was happening, but we had to include her in the celebrations as well.
I hope to post a full year-end review on our in the next few days.
Though it is summer, we will be back at "school" on Monday with a slightly different emphasis and more laid-back approach. There are specific things I would like them to be working on through the summer. I like to keep the routine and structure in place as much as possible during the summer to maintain our daily routines and prepare for the fall.
